Real Time Measurement
 To get on specification as soon as possible and stay there, you need the real time precision measurements that only ATI can provide.
Beta gauges have been used to provide weight measurements for continuous process applications for over thirty years. The concept is simple. A source, or beta emitter, is placed below the product and the detector is placed directly above the product. The beta particles are absorbed by the product or travel through the product and are counted by the detector. As the product weight increases, more particles are absorbed. The number of particles counted by the detector is used to determine the basis weight of the product.

EZ-Gage Beta Gauge for Plastic Film & Non-Woven Producers
 Increased Profit - The new EzGage uses ATI's patented, solid state gauge technology to provide a highly economical beta gauge designed specifically for plastic film & non-woven producers. Fast and accurate basis weight measurements reduce process variation to improve your quality. That saves material. And reduces scrap for real savings. Plus, you eliminate time consuming off line sample checks that provide information- but too little, too late, to be of any use in maintaining consistent production quality.
 Easy Installation - It is small and designed for fast and easy mounting. Onboard calibrations and configurations allow you to simply plug in and go to start saving time, material and money immediately. There are no moving parts so maintenance is low. Measurements are consistent, reliable and accurate.
Designed to Meet Your Needs - EzGage measures plastic or other sheet products from 1 to 30 mils thick (30 to 1,000 gsm). The single, fixed-point gauge is accurate to +/- 0.5% of target. Operator displays provide the last reading and a 60 point trend. EzGage is pre-calibrated. Only a zero/span is needed to standardize for your product. EzGage operates in ambient temperatures from 0 to 50° Celsius on II 5VAC.

TruProfile Beta Gauge
 The 100% web measurement of the TruProfile Gauge guarantees the absolute quality of your products.
The TruProfile™ Gauge is a non-scanning beta gauge that has an array of detectors and a single line source that continuously measures the entire web. It is superior to any other online beta gauge because it can measure 100% of the web 100% of the time. Traditional gauges (such as scanning frames) only measure 1% of the web. TruProfile’s 100% measurement provides substantially more process information than any other gauge.
 Significantly improved process information leads to dynamic improvements in product quality and ultimate profitability for TruProfile customers. Online Fast Fourier Transform Analysis provides real time information about controllable short term process variations that other gauge systems do not see. Other capabilities include SPC, full reporting and alarming full color topographic web image, a wide range of recipes, mapping trending and data logging
The true, independent, real time cross direction and machine cross direction information means faster start-ups (including auto die systems) as well as faster diagnosis and correction of problems.
The TruProfile is also an effective tool when developing new gauge products to really understand the process and to pinpoint the parameters that are affecting quality.

AT100 Beta Gauge
 The AT 100 is a reliable and efficient beta gauge that is economical to install and operate.
The AT100 beta gauge provides precise measurement in a stable, compact package. The solid state gauge design eliminates all the cumbersome items found on traditional gauges such as the ion chamber, large radiation source, high voltage power supplies, analog signal conversion, temperature sensors and gap sensors.
 Its design means lower life cycle costs-saving money and time on installation, production, and maintenance. The low energy level nuclear source is safer to plant and maintenance personnel and the wide product measurement range means faster product changeovers and less overhead costs.
The Real Time Gauging (RTG) system software offers a full array of selections to meet specific process requirements. It is easily configured by the user to select what information is to be collected, how it is collected and how it is reported. It collects and displays measurements in any unit desired and provides complete statistical process control graphs and information. It can easily be upgraded, can accept other signals and can export signals to other data loggers.

Gamma 1™ Gauge
 Gamma 1™ is a "smart" gauge with superior measurement accuracy that can easily connect to an existing plant floors supervisory control system.
Gamma 1™ measures products such as blown film, paper, plastic rubber and textiles from one side only. Its solid state technology is a revolutionary departure from ordinary backscatter gauges: there are no photo multiplier tubes, no high voltages and no complicated control loops.
 Gamma 1™ combines ATI's solid state detector technology with an onboard microprocessor to enhance measurement capability and allow direct gauge connection to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or distributed control systems (DCSs). The onboard microprocessor converts the counts to weight, stores product recipes and calibrations and eliminates the need for a dedicated host computer. Gamma 1™ has an industry standard communications link to make gauge information readily available to the customers control system. It can also output data into an FFT routine.
For safety, the Gamma 1™ provides an integral shutter with a fail-safe design and built-in safety check monitor. The onboard microprocessor tracks federally mandated maintenance procedures to stay in compliance and automatically shutters the radiation source when the sensor is not in use.
