Process Functions

The
Adtech Model AIM 37 Analog Integration Module computes
the analog integral of the input variable over periods of up to 2hours.
In the AIM 37, the analog integrator provides a standard process voltage or
current output proportional to the integrated input over a selected time period.
Effectively, it averages the input over a preset period and updates the output
after each period.
The integration time may be internally preset or controlled by an external reset
contact.
The
Adtech Model FSM 55 Frequency Scaling Module converts
or scales the pulse rate output of a wide variety of prime flow sensors to
convenient engineering units for display on a totalizing counter. It can be used
for such applications as turbine meters, positive displacement meters or speed
measurements by magnetic pick-ups.
The FSM 55 solves scaling problems economically and accurately.
Two decades of scaling are standard. Four and six decades are optionally
available when specifying options I 34 and I 35 respectively.
The
Adtech Model GCM 36 Gap Controller Module is used to
stop oscillation in feedback control loops to reduce mechanical wear out of
actuators.
Use of the GCM 36 can prevent actuator "hunting" in such applications
as damper controls, combustions processes and extrusion pressure control.
The GCM 36 accepts all standard current and voltage process signal inputs.
The
Adtech Model MFM 32 Mass Flow Module consists of a
single module that will provide both temperature and static pressure correction
of a differential pressure measurement taken across an orifice plate. The inputs
accept standard process currents and voltages. See the Product Data Bulletin for
specific computation information.
An exclusive output option (O44) provides a pulse rate output along with the
standard analog output.
The
Adtech Model RBM 98 Ratio and Bias Module provides an
accurate means of adding or subtracting a desired amount of bias to the input
signal and/or changing the ratio (gain) relationship of the output to the input
span.
The input bias has a range of 0 to ± 100% of full-scale input, and ratio has a
range of 0.1-10. An output bias of up to 50% of the output span is a standard
feature.
The RBM 98 provides standard process current or voltage signals on the output
with a maximum of 10 mV P/P output ripple.
It offers a convenient way of interfacing ratio station signals to a computer
system or other process instrumentation.
Recalibration to other desired ranges is accomplished easily.
The
Adtech Model SHM 60 Sample and Hold Module provides an
accurate and economical single channel memory of an analog process input signal.
The SHM 60's digital memory provides indefinite hold time with no decay. The
external command input may be a dry contact or a solid state switch rated 24 VDC
at 2 mA, or a voltage pulse of 9-30 VDC.
The SHM 60 provides four modes of operation. Refer the Product Data Bulletin for
specific details.
The SHM 60 provides standard process current or voltage signals on the output
with a maximum of 10 mV P/P output ripple.

The
Adtech Model SIT 58 Squared Integrator converts an
analog input into a variable pulse rate output proportional to the square root
of the input.
The SIT 58 handles all standard process voltage and current inputs and provides
a 24 VDC pulse output capable of driving most electromechanical counters. A
relay contact output can be provided when specifying Option O17. For electronic
counters, an optional voltage pulse output is also available.
Zero, rate, and drop-out controls are provided by infinite resolution multiturn
potentiometers. Recalibration to other ranges is convenient via simple strap
selection of output ranges and the adjustable drop-out feature.

The
Adtech Model SLM 62 Signal Limiter Module provides an
accurate and economical means of limiting the output signal to pre-determined
levels via independent high and low limit adjustments.
The SLM 62 converts a current or voltage input to a standard process current or
voltage signal output with a maximum of 10 mV P/P output ripple.
Recalibration to other desired ranges is accomplished easily.
The
Adtech Model SRT 30 Square Root Transmitter provides
accurate and economical conversion of squared input signals to any standard
process current or voltage signal output with a maximum of 10 mV P/P output
ripple.
An exclusive output option (O44) provides a pulse rate output along with the
standard analog output. Pulse rate adjustment is provided by an infinite
resolution rate potentiometer.
An adjustable zero cut-off/dropout is provided to avoid a false low signal.
Input zero, output zero and span adjustment controls are also provided by
infinite resolution multiturn potentiometers.
The
Adtech Model UDB 97 Up-Down Ramp Buffer provides an
accurate and economical means of supervisory process control. A contact state
change or pulse input drives the standard output process signal to ramp up or
down and can hold the resulting change.
The Up and Down multiturn ramp rate controls allow independent adjustment of the
ramp rate from the specified maximum rate to 100 times slower. The two contact
inputs control the direction of the output and the ramp or hold mode
respectively.
