To get on specification as soon as possible and stay there, you need the real time precision measurements that only ATI can provide.
Beta gauges have been used to provide weight measurements for continuous process applications for over thirty years. The concept is simple. A source, or beta emitter, is placed below the product and the detector is placed directly above the product. The beta particles are absorbed by the product or travel through the product and are counted by the detector. As the product weight increases, more particles are absorbed. The number of particles counted by the detector is used to determine the basis weight of the product.
More Stability, More Efficiency ATI's solid state gauges are intrinsically more stable and efficient dm the analog detector technology (ion chamber) that is still the heart of most other detectors. There is less drift in operation. Less calibration is required. And there is less maintenance. Measurement is precise and reliability is excellent. And, all measurement is in real time. Whether during critical startup, online production or while changing products, you can make fast decisions to maintain high quality with less waste. Add in low lifecycle costs and you can obtain a significant contribution to the bottom line.
Applications:
ATI gauges are excellent for traditional web gauging applications
such as plastic film, nonwovens and coatings. The solid state benefits of ATI
gauges and systems make them a natural choice for many non-traditional
applications as well. Here is just a sampling of some processes and applications
where ATI has provided a meaningful measurement.
