Pressure Transducers
The
DP15 is a general-purpose differential pressure transducer
that features field replaceable sensing diaphragms so that the full scale may be
changed anywhere between +/-0.08 psid and +/-3200 psid. The DP15 is the most
cost-effective way to make pressure measurements in the laboratory where
pressure measurement requirements are constantly changing.
The DP15 has 23 different diaphragm ranges available. When used with a Validyne
carrier demodulator, the DP15 can produce a +/-10 Vdc analog output proportional
to the full-scale pressure range. The rugged construction of the DP15 makes it
highly resistant to shock and vibration. Because the diaphragm is the only
moving part, the frequency response of the DP15 to pressure pulsations is
exceptionally high.
The DP15 will accept liquids and gases on both sides, and is constructed of 410
stainless steel. In addition, nickel and gold platings are available for
aggressively oxidizing media. The O-ring seals are available in a variety of
compounds. Bleed screws in each cavity facilitate liquid filling for dynamic
pressure measurements.
Applications for the DP15:
The
DP15TL is a general purpose differential pressure transducer
that features a kit containing 7 field replaceable sensing diaphragms so that
the full scale range of the sensor may be changed between +/-1 and +/-3000 psid.
Using a companion carrier demodulator such as the CD15, the DP15TL is useful in
a wide variety of laboratory applications where pressure measurement
requirements constantly change.
The rugged construction of the DP15 sensor makes it highly resistant to shock
and vibration. Because the diaphragm is the only moving part, the frequency
response of the DP15 to pressure pulsations is exceptionally high.
The two symmetrical body parts are easily disassembled and reassembled with
sensing diaphragms using the wrench furnished. The DP15 will accept liquids and
gases on both sides, and is constructed of 410 stainless steel. The bleed ports
in the sensor facilitate complete purging of liquid filled systems for dynamic
measurements.
Spare o-rings, bleed screws, gaskets and an electrical connector are included in
the handy storage box.
Applications for the DP15TL:
The
DP45 low-pressure transducer is designed for pressure
measurement in the range of +/-1 inch H2O. This transducer is used extensively
in connection with flow measurements where dynamic response at low flow rates is
required. Dynamic response is maximized by a combination of low internal volume,
symmetrical construction and the small volumetric displacement inherent in
variable reluctance design.
All surfaces exposed to the media are corrosion resistant 410 stainless steel.
The design of the DP45 permits the user to disassemble the instrument for
cleaning, diaphragm replacement or changing the full-scale pressure range.
When used with a companion carrier demodulator, the DP45 will produce an output
of +/-10 Vdc for pressures as low as +/-0.6 inches H2O. The DP45 includes 10
feet of cable and an electrical connector as a standard option. Other cable
lengths and extension cables are available.
Applications for the DP45:
The
DP103 is designed for exceedingly low differential
pressure measurement applications where high accuracy
is required under rough physical and environmental conditions. With full scale
ranges as low as 0.1 Inch H2O, even the most demanding low-pressure measurements
are possible. The symmetrical pressure cavities and small volumetric
displacement of the DP103 provide fast response for accurate dynamic pressure
measurements.
Corrosive gases are easily handled, as all surfaces exposed to the pressure
media are 410 stainless steel. Overpressures as high as 200% FS will not destroy
the diaphragm and, with re-calibration, the instrument may continue to be used.
When combined with a Validyne carrier demodulator, the DP103 will produce a
+/-10 Vdc or 4-20 mA signal proportional to differential pressures as low as
+/-0.1 In H2O. The DP103 comes with 10 feet of cable terminated by a connector
in the standard configuration. Other lengths and connection options are
available. With proper extension cabling, the DP103 may be located 1000 feet or
more from the electronics.
