Pressure Transmitters
The
Validyne DR800 Draft Range Pressure Transmitter is
designed exclusively for very low industrial differential pressure measurements.
It has a true full scale as low as +/-0.25 In H2O without turndown or
over-amplification. Spans as low as 0.1 In H2O are possible with standard
models. Zero elevation and suppression adjustments allow calibration over the
precise range of interest. The DR800 offers 0.5% FS accuracy and an operating
temperature range of -20 deg F to +185 deg F. The total combined temperature
effects are less than 3% per 100 deg F.
Simplified zero and span adjustments provide a smooth and accurate calibration
even for extremely low differential pressures. Using a 20-turn potentiometer
adjustment and a circuit board jumper ranges can be selected from -100%
elevation to +85% zero suppression. The span adjustment has a hi/lo jumper to
allow faster full scale calibration.
The DR800 provides an industry-standard 4-20 mA analog signal using any power
supply from 12 to 45 Vdc. FM-approved models for intrinsically safe service are
available. Reverse polarity and short circuit protection is included.
Electronic
damping with a selectable time constant from 0.25 to 8 seconds smoothes noisy
pressure signals. A loop-powered LCD local indicator is an available option.

The
Validyne Model P55 is a compact Differential Pressure Transmitter designed
for industrial measurement applications. The variable reluctance sensing
technology allows the P55 to be used in a wide variety of low pressure
measurements where fast dynamic response, high resistance to vibration and
superior signal stability through ambient temperature change is required. The
P55 will accept liquids and gases directly at the sensing diaphragm; there are
no internal fill fluids to slow the sensor response or cause excessive
temperature shift.
The P55 is available in three output configurations: 4-20 mA current sink, +/-5
Vdc and isolated +/-5 Vdc outputs. The 4-20 mA output is a true two-wire system
and will operate over any power supply from 9-55 Vdc.
The P55 is also available in an absolute pressure version with a welded variable
reluctance sensor. Zero and span controls are available for external adjustment,
and the wiring may be via connector or pigtail leads options. The P55 housing is
rated NEMA 4.
Applications for the P55 Include:
The
Validyne Model P365 is a compact high line; Differential Pressure Transmitter
designed for industrial measurement applications. The variable reluctance
sensing technology allows the P365 to be used in a wide variety of low
differential pressure measurements at high static line pressures with a minimum
of zero shift. In addition, the P365 has high resistance to vibration and
superior signal stability through ambient temperature change. The P365 will
accept liquids and gases directly at the sensing diaphragm; there are no
internal fill fluids to slow the sensor response or cause excessive temperature
shift.
The P365 is available in three output configurations: 4-20 mA current sink, +/-5
Vdc and isolated +/-5 Vdc outputs. The 4-20 mA output is a true two-wire system
and will operate over any power supply from 9-55 Vdc.
The P365 can measure full-scale differential pressures as low as +/-5 psid at
static line pressures as high as 10Kpsi. Zero and span controls are available
for external adjustment, and the wiring may be via connector or pigtail leads
options. The P365 housing is rated NEMA 4.
Applications for the P365 Include:
Validyne's
new model P2 Pressure Transducers provide a low cost
solution for pressure measurement in a wide variety of industrial and OEM
applications. With a rugged design and stainless steel wetted parts, they
feature superior performance at a reasonable price. Units are offered with a
high level output of 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 5 Vdc. The P2 has a standard 1/4"
male pipe thread connection, and comes with a mating DIN electrical connector
for fast wiring. Model P2's superior performance is assured through the use of
chemical vapor deposition strain gage technology. Sensors are produced on wafers
in large batches by depositing silicon dioxide and polysilicon on a stainless
steel substrate, resulting in a strong, reliable design. The transducers are
accurate to 0.25% and have excellent long-term stability. They resist shock and
vibration and are compensated for -4 to +176 F ambient environments.
Applications for the P2 include:
The
PS309 is a portable, completely self-contained Digital Pressure Manometer
that is available in absolute, gage and differential ranges. In addition to the
front panel liquid crystal display, the unit provides a +/-2 Vdc analog output
suitable for use with chart recorders and digital data loggers. The PS309
includes a variable reluctance pressure transducer, all supporting circuitry and
a 3.5 digit LCD display calibrated in engineering units. The unit operates on
six 1.5V penlight cells for truly portable operation.
The transducer will accept liquids and gases and features 410 sst wetted
materials for resistance to corrosive fluids. The calibration is unaffected by
the dielectric properties of the media. Gage and differential pressure
transducers may be re-ranged by disassembly, changing of the sensing element and
recalibration. Individual meter scaling adjustments are provided as well as
transducer zero and span adjustments. Decimal points are programmable by
internal jumpers.
Applications for the PS309 Include:
